This is an appeal for a long- term foster carer for Smokey, who is about 11yrs old and has lived with his current owner all his life. Sadly, due to his owner moving into a retirement home, Smokey finds himself much in need of a special person to come forward to look after him in his old age.
Smokey is a beautiful, elegant cat with smart white markings and he has been well cared for and obviously loved. Although a little cautious at first, with a gentle approach, his tail goes up and he soon accepts some strokes.
Smokey needs a quiet retirement home, either with an older couple or single person with time to give him lots of tlc. Access to a secure outdoor space is essential (such as a catio/cat-proof garden), as he likes to come and go as he pleases. No young children
Older cats can be wonderful, rewarding companions, so please consider Smokey. If at any point he should need veterinary treatment, this will be paid for by Cats Whiskers at one of our registered vet practices. We will be on hand to provide support and advice at any time.
